Vulnerable Consciousness and endangered faith are the metaphors of the artist's uncomfortable feelings regarding his self-identity who has to negotiate with reality. He deplores false revolutionaries who have narrow and/or one-sided world views, simply condoning injustice. What he feels most uncomfortable about is this reality that fosters pseudo-artist, or imitators. Park believes that serious philosophical struggle with thoughts about art and the artist's role must be prior to anything else. Exploring the unsaid and unheard issues through heated debate is what he thinks the work of artist and of art-making is.
